MAKING A PARLAY WAGER
1. WHAT IS A PARLAY WAGER?
A Parlay wager is a multiple team wager. To win this type of bet you must pick all winners. If your picks this week include 4 teams and you play that on a parlay all 4 picks must win for you to win. If you straight bet these same 4 teams and 3 are winners… well you can do the math! 75% winning is HUGE! Especially compared to 0%
2. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A PARLAY BET?
Parlay bets are exciting for one, but the real advantage is it multiplies your efforts. A simple way to look at it is like this…
2-team pays 3 to 1
3-team pays 6 to 1
4 team pays 12 to 1
5 team pays 25 to 1
6 team pays 50 to 1
7 team pays 100 to 1
8 team pays 200 to 1
I wouldn’t recommend more than a 3 or 4 team parlay unless your bankroll is huge! Remember winning 3 out of 4 games in a 4team parlay is still a losing wager.
3. WHAT IS THE DOWNSIDE OF A PARLAY BET?
The downside… the odds of NOT winning are so much greater… Emotionally it hurts when you lose the 1st game of a 4 team parlay and win the last three.
4. HOW DO YOU WIN A PARLAY BET?
There are a few different ways to place a parlay bet… but for now let’s stick with a straight parlay bet of three games… The only way to win is for all picks to win…
5. HOW DO YOU PLACE A PARLAY BET?
I’ll walk you through the steps of placing a parley bet through the sportsbook “BETUS“. Log into your “Betus” account. If you don’t have an account you can Click Here and go to the site to get started.
1. Click on the heading “Sportsbook”
2. Click on the sport on the left side you want to bet. [I'm using FOOTBALL]
2. Click in the box or boxes of the games available to bet. [I'm using NFL "Game"]
3. Click “Display Selected” Once your “checkmark” shows in the box click “Display Selected”
What you see is a list of the games, the Pointspreads, the Moneyline, the over/under total, and the half totals.
Now it’s time to make your choices…
4. Click in the boxes of the bets you want to make…I’m going to make a 3-team parley…
5. Click on the Tab “Parlay” After you make your choices look to the right.
Now you will see your selections… the spreads of each and the moneylines of each as well…
Next to where it says “Single Parlay” you will need to enter the amount you want to wager…
I’m betting $10 with the chance to win $63.34
6. Click on “Place my bets”
Here’s an example of what is displayed…
You will need to confirm your bet… but now you have made a Parlay bet.
